Munters supports the ten principles on corporate social responsibility expressed in the UN Global Compact. These principles are composed of rules on respect for basic human rights, labor rights - including regulations against child and forced labor, environmental guidelines and rules against corruption.

Munters supports and respects internationally agreed human rights. We shall assure that Munters does not contribute to violations against human rights. We will also assure that Munters is not – directly or indirectly, actively or inactively – complicit to or benefits from violators against human rights.

We offer all employees equal opportunities. Munters shall not participate in or be complicit in discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership, political affiliation, maternity, marital status or age towards any person, in matters of employment, retirement, educational benefits, advancement or termination of contracts.

Munters respects employees who wish to form and/or join unions or other associations. Munters encourages an open dialogue between union representatives and company management.

Corruption

Munters shall work against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery. Corruption can take many forms that vary from a minor use of influence to institutionalized bribery. Corruption is defined as: "the abuse of entrusted power for private gain."(1)

蒙特应阻挡任何情势的靡烂,包孕巧取豪夺和行贿。靡烂有多种情势,小到应用影响力,大到有组织的行贿。靡烂的界说为:“以权谋私。”(1)

This can mean not only financial gain but also non-financial advantages.

Bribery is defined as: "An offer or receipt of any gift, loan, fee, reward or other advantage to or from any person as an inducement to do something which is dishonest, illegal or a breach of trust, in the conduct of the enterprise's business."(2)

In the menu on the left hand side you will find Munters Anti-bribery Manual and Policy as well as Munters Whistleblower Policy. There you will also find Munters Anti-Fraud Policy.

Extortion is defined as: "The solicitation of bribes is the act of asking or enticing another to commit bribery. It becomes extortion when this demand is accompanied by threats that endanger the personal integrity or the life of the private actors involved."(3)

Munters' reputation depends how we conduct business. All employees and agents of our company must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in any location in which we transact business. We want our business partners and employees to know that we conduct our business in an ethical manner. If a non-ethical practice is illegal but acceptable in a country does not mean it is acceptable to Munters. Non-compliance with anti-bribery laws can have very serious consequences for Munters. This includes significant fines and imprisonment for individuals.

The Munters fraud policy guides in the detection and prevention of fraud against Munters. We promote consistent employee behavior through providing guidelines and assigning responsibility for the development of controls and conduct of investigations.
